Anytime you are behind on payments it’s not a good idea to leave anything in the car you can’t live without, because the chances are you will get that chance to live without it.
Contact the lender and make arrangements to pay off your loan, then you can get your car, and hopefully your personal items, back.
You mean when the Finance Company tows their OWN vehicle because you are (or maybe are not) making payments, can they look through their OWN vehicle?

Your word was no good when you promised to pay so now it is theirs and they are taking it back ,if you happen to have something in it to bad it is theirs now.
