Does that make me personally responsible for providing a residual debt that my father left behind, in this case there are insufficient assets in its field to cover these obligations? Moreover, this effect will my credit score in any way? I was told conflicting information. Does anyone know? Best answer:

No, it does affect you financially in any way unless we act in a manner illegal or unethical. While you’re on the establishment and there will be no problems (financial) for you. Regarding debts go, they will be paid from the assets of the estate. If there is a deficientcy (assuming that your stepmother is not jointly and severally liable) the creditors are entitled to their share (some creditors will be paid before other) of the estate. DO NOT let anyone tell you OR YOUR stepmother who are responsible for his personal debt – It’s Not True (again, if your father and stepmother had something in common, it is still responsible – it will not disappear only). Hope that helps.
