Lighting of the Renaissance and the Higher Colleges of Technology Centre of Engineering Excellence Host ‘Lighting the way for Dubai Green

Renaissance Lighting, an innovative U.S. based pioneer of solid state LED architectural lighting and the UAE Distribution regional partners, technologies and solutions Stellatek Victory International in association with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) Centre of Engineering Excellence at Dubai, announced plans for “Lighting the way for a green Dubai,” a reflection series of presentations focused on the environment to meet the urgent global need to develop and market green technologies.
This special event, which will focus on the vision of the environment led the Government of Dubai and headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, including the adoption of a national green building LEED standards policy, will be held 11:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16 at Dubai Men’s College, Dubai Academic City.

This special event is the first joint initiative in the context of a relationship between the Renaissance and the recently Lighting Engineering Centre of Excellence HCT, the ongoing support knowledge transfer between green technologies and Renaissance Lighting college students and professors.

Mr. Ali bin Towaih
, director of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Development (SEED) at TECOM Investments, will discuss building “green” on his vast experience in the field of energy and vision for a sustainable and respectful the environment. He is currently working on several projects for the Dubai government on the development of the renewable energy industry. He initiated the recent launch of TECOM Investments, Sustainable Development Policy which aims at optimizing the energy management and certification of green buildings.
