Money Saving Tips

Question by pinup_queen85: I’ve been a stripper for about 2 years now. Do you have some tips how can I start saving my money better?
I make really good money, usually never less than $ 1,000 a week. I put some money aside towards spring semester of school. That’s about $ 100 a week. (I attend a community college so one semester is about $ 2000.) I always have the extra $ $ $ floating around but then when I calculate it all together… I some how spend almost all of it. Can you guys give me tips to a way to put money away and save it?

Saving account isn’t the issue. I have a blossom account so I’m not allowed to touch that saved money for about 2 more years.
No, I do not do drugs. And I’m attending school to get a doctorate in music education. SCHOOL DOES COST MONEY!!! I don’t plan on doing this forever.

Stop snorting your money away. Being an exotic dancer can be very profitable and if you do it right you can be retired by the time men no longer want to pay you money for shaking your a$ $ .

  1. That seems to be a common problem for people who earn tips. I was a waitress for nearly 30 years and saw that problem all the time.
What you have to do is get yourself a lock box. Every night when you get home, take at least half of your tips and lock them in there. Promise yourself that you won’t take it out of there no matter what. If you can open another account, one that you can get into when school starts, do that. At the end of each week, take your tips and deposit them in the bank. You will find you still have lots of spending money and I guarantee you will be shocked by the end of the month when you see how much money you put away!

If I made $ 180 in tips one day, $ 90 of it got locked away at the end of my shift which left me $ 90 to blow. If I didn’t spend that $ 90 that day, I put the rest into the lock box.

Make it a contest with yourself to see if you can beat last week’s saved tips and when you go back to school, you’ll be thrilled with how much money you put away.

I know what it’s like to have all those tips floating around and I also know how easy it is to spend them on what seems like nothing day to day.

I hope this helps! You will do well, just make up your mind you’re going to save half of everything that comes in….the good news is, you’ll find you still have lots of cash floating around! (Don’t be afraid to put away a little extra if you didn’t spend the half you kept one day, it will pile up even faster!)
