Put every bit of change you get into a jar or large bottle, don’t touch it til it’s full. You’ll be surprised how fast it adds up!

Use direct deposit and split your deposit sending a portion to a saving account. Since you won’t touch the money, you won’t miss it.
Have money directly deposited in a savings account that you don’t/won’t touch. Out-of-sight, out-of-mind. At the end of the year you take a look at the balance and you’ll be shocked at how much you were able to save. I’ve been doing it for a long time and when I bought my new car, I paid cash for it. It really works!!!
First of all. Put at least 10% of every paycheck into savings. Example: If your check is $ 300, then $ 30 goes into savings.
Save change in that dusty piggy bank. You would be surprised how much the pennies and dimes add up over a period of time.
Cut out the fast food(eating out) and buy your groceries in bulk to save more. If you could cut $ 100 a month from eating out, that is $ 1200 a year.
Keep all receipts and at end of every month, realize what you spend on needs vs. wants.
Also, when you get a good job, put money into a 401k. This is like a savings retirement account. Any money you put into the 401k is not taxed.
These are a few ideas. Hope this helps.
My number one suggestion is to make a budget so you can see what you’re spending each week. Once you have everything on paper, it’s easier to find ways to save.
Some ways to save are to change to a basic cable TV package, talk to your cell phone provider about a better service plan that might save you some money, don’t eat out as often, use coupons when grocery shopping, cook items from scratch rather than buying prepared foods.
I find that I save the most money when I put some aside into a separate savings account each month. Buying used goods from places like thrift shops has also saved me some money through the years. I hope this helps, along with the source I’ve listed below.
