I am trying to buy a new Playstation 3 but every time I save up to at least 20 dollars I seem to spend them in one day!

put the cash in an envelope marked with playstation 3 on it. Every time you go to reach in, you will remember what you are saving for and ask yourself is it worth it?

Hide them in a place (like under the bed in ,the attic, or in a piggy bank) and try not to take them with u every time u go out (like only take 5 dollars for emergency) And every time u want to spend money on something just say is this more important than the ps3? if not don’t buy it if it was buy it.
The good old Ceramic Piggy Bank which you need to break to get money out. I don’t think you would break that piggy and buy it frequently..but then never know.
If available, make use of the Layaway. Or Buy it using store credit and pay it back monthly.
There are certain website where you can make payments later using feature like “Bill me Later” etc.
Would it be nicer not to waste time on playing PS3, and making more fruitful use of the time so you are not in a situation of trying to even save $ 20.
Remember, the games cost $ $ too.
Get a sock put money in it & tuck it in your sock drawer & walk away or On a envelope write what u want to buy & goal date. The more money you add the quicker you get to buy it.
I’m assuming you are young and still living at home with your parents. Give them the money to hold. Tell them “no matter what I do, even if I beg, don’t let me have it”. Ask them to remind you what the money is for..
Give it to me!!!!
jerod had the best response! if you “hide it”, you may forget where it is or may hide it in something that gets thrown away, donated or sold when your not home. if you give it to someone to hold, you may end up mad at them just because they won’t give it to you…just like you told them.
put all your loose change and maybe even dollar bills in a can or jar. Do this every day, dont spend them during the day. Problem will come when you want to blow them on some thing else. I just cashed in my coins after about two months and had $ 53. Took wife out to dinner.
Save your money and try to make a budget for yourself. Before you buy something ask yourself “Do I really need this?” If you do then buy it but if not don’t buy it.
whats wrong with the bank.its important to learn how to use the bank and how to save and you can open it yourself,
you can give the money to your mother or someone you really trust or you could hide it and forget about.
or you can go somewhere that has a layaway program for the item you want and pay it down weekly or monthly
find a “piggy bank” made of steal that CANNOT be opened until your ready
