BuildingWise, a recognized leader in consulting and sustainable LEED ®, announced today that it has entered into a successful partnership with the ownership of the building of San Francisco Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street by providing consulting services to the property in the LEED certification process, which causes the LEED Gold certification for sustainable construction.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification offers third party verification for owners and operators with a concise framework for the identification and implement practical and measurable green building design, construction, operation and maintenance solutions. The certification process focuses on strategies to improve the performance of saving energy, water efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impact.

A program to reduce water resulting from a reduction of 50% over the past year
The pyramid of off-site purchases certified renewable energy equivalent to 50% of their annual energy consumption
The Pyramid reuse, recycle or compost 70% of the waste stream of current consumption (by weight). It also showed the reuse or recycling of 75% of the waste stream of durable goods during the implementation period. Over 70% of waste (by volume) were diverted changes and additions to facilities from landfill disposal and incineration.
Indoor Environmental Quality: Increased ventilation rate of outdoor air to all occupied spaces by at least 30% above the minimum rate required.
Green cleaning and care efficiency: 90% of cleaning products purchased contain high recycled content or meet stringent EPA and Green Seal ™ sustainability standards.
