BUILDING PRODUCTS Magazine Announces Winners of the second annual Green Product Awards. The 16 winners were judged on their environmental qualities and practices, including but not limited to energy efficiency, resource efficiency, and / or health and comfort. Each product was also evaluated on its capacity for innovation and overall value for professionals in the residential construction using green building practices.

The Green Product Awards are open to all categories of residential construction products, materials and technologies introduced between January 2008 and April 2009. The winners represent the best new products that contribute to the eco-house built and that bring more value to builders, remodelers, and architects, or their customers.

submitted a complete application for each product BUILDING PRODUCTS magazine, and entries were reviewed by a select committee of judges, including builders, remodelers and architects. The products were evaluated on their own merit, rather than in competition to other entries.

The second edition of the Green Product Award will be presented in the Fall 2009 issue of Building Products magazine and the magazine’s website, ebuild.com. Winners will also be published on ecohomemagazine.com, a sister website to ebuild.
